          I had the opportunity to take mixed-media observational drawing classes, which taught me the fundamentals of drawing.

          I also had the opportunity to experiment with charcoal and sanguine portraits. Reproducing these works by Mark Tennant and Millet was particularly interesting, as the goal was to draw only through the shadows.

          I had the opportunity to take mixed-media observational drawing classes, which taught me the fundamentals of drawing.

    Two ink wash drawings, depicting a street in Strasbourg and a turtle, respectively. For the turtle, the goal was to use negative space for the light areas and to carefully control the amount of ink in order to achieve better balance.

          These initial pencil sketches come from studies based on Bargue and Jouve. In both cases, the goal was to build good habits in figure construction by focusing on muscles, movement, and shadows.

          Enfin, voici les dessins au liner noir. La principale difficulté résidait dans le relief qu'il était difficile de retranscrire. L'immense quantité de détails était également très intéressante à reproduire.
