In this game, I carried out three distinct game design tasks. Firstly, I defined the game’s creative vision with the entire team. I identified the game’s key selling points, determined which ones were most urgent from a production standpoint, and made sure everyone was on the same page.
The game is divided into five levels: three on land, focusing primarily on exploration and stealth, and two on water, featuring unique movement mechanics and precision gameplay. I worked on the stealth mechanics with the programmers to create a system that is both intuitive for the player and allows for a variety of playstyles.
Among other things, I designed the decoy system. The protagonist's spear can be used to kill enemies, but it also allows for a non-lethal approach to every situation. When thrown, if it doesn't hit anyone, it acts as a decoy, and enemies gather around it for a few moments, allowing the player to reposition themselves before returning to retrieve it.

DalRiata is a stealth-adventure game in which you travel across the Scottish moors and infiltrate an enemy clan.

- Lethal approach -
The spear can be used to kill.

- Non-lethal approach -
The spear can be used to lure.

This prototype features a fire-fighting sponge that can soak up water and then spray it onto the flames. I devised an interesting moveset that creates a contrast between the sponge’s “small and dry” form with light movements, a double jump, and increased movement speed ; and its “large and wet” form with an almost nonexistent jump and very slow movement, in exchange for carrying the water, which represents the win condition.
Beyond these parameters, I worked with the other game designers on the character’s affordance and gameplay building blocks to create mechanics such as the “Scratch” ability on walls with the green side of the sponge, or the “Soap” that becomes slippery when the sponge is wet.

Puddle saves the day is a puzzle/platformer game where, as a sponge, you absorb water to extinguish fire.

Woolly Brawl is a fighting game in which you play as a shepherd who can throw his sheep at enemies.
Our goal was to create a game that would be both fun to play and out of the brawler style.
To imagine the concept, I used different methods that consisted of overturning existing conventions to draw new things... Which resulted in a gameplay based on fighting against your allies!

Cubic Confusion is a puzzle game in which you manipulate a cube and the robots that are on its different faces.
I worked with game designers and programmers for almost 2 months to create a puzzle/platform game in 2.5D.
The biggest challenge was probably the implementation of the USP: the manipulation of a cubic level on which are the characters that we embody.
The idea was to give each level to the player as if it were a puzzle. With the team, I really wanted to transmit this "toy" feeling that you can manipulate and turn in all directions.

Inspirations :

D.00 GLASS 99 is a board game in which players work together to repair their ship.
This project was my first real group project. With 3 other game designers, I aimed to create a board game with a great narrative component.
I was mainly involved in creating the different missions that players should complete and balancing them.
There were 3 different types of missions, on the short, medium and long term which made the GD economy and balancing work quite complex.

Le Jardin des étoiles is a puzzle/management One Button Game in which we play as a gardener who makes flower beds for his wife.
I wanted to create a game that would mirror myself as much as possible, although I was technically limited by my knowledge at the time. I tried to create a rich gameplay, although playable with a single button, and a special atmosphere that would evolve as the player progresses.
